Membership Information

Membership Renewals are now due for 2012

Please complete a Membership Renewal Form and lodge at the next meeting or mail to the club address 

Before becoming a member we recommend you…….

  • Come along to a meeting to find out how the club works and the types of walks available, and/or
  • Make contact with the membership officer (see Contact page) to find out general information about the club, and/or
  • Make contact with a leader (see Calendar page) directly if you would like to participate in a walk 

To become a member you need to…….

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Read the guidelines and protocols for membership (see Club Info page)
  • Fill in a Membership Application Form  which includes obtaining nomination by an existing member (see Club Info page)
  • Submit the completed form to the treasurer or membership officer and you will be notified when processed
  • Participate in no more than two walks (and pay the $5 insurance cost per walk – details below)
  • Pay the yearly or half yearly membership fee (details below)

The current membership fee is…….

  • $30 per calendar year (ie January to December)
  • $15 per half yearly (ie members who join after 30 June in any given year)

Note - prior to paying your membership fee, you are encouraged to try out two walks before becoming a member (based on the advice of the leader).  You will need to pay $5 per person per walk to cover the insurance.  This cost is then deducted from your membership fee if you decide to join the club.

  • Up-to-date information on walking track conditions
  • Current information from Bushwalking Queensland and the Federation of Mountain Rescue
